Field of Interest Funds provides donors the opportunity to support particular areas of interest that reach many organizations. The Foundation distributes earnings to the most appropriate programs within that area of interest.

Ashland Area Scouting Fund - The earnings are used to provide scouts with equipment and help pay their expenses; it is for both male and female scouting.

Ashland Mutual Fire Insurance Company Fire & Safety Fund - The earnings are used to purchase equipment and supplies for fire fighting, fire prevention or first aid and for the attendance of firemen at any fire fighting or prevention schools. Awards are made in the Ashland area.

Ben Franklin Trust - By act of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the principal of Ben Franklin's 200-year-old Trust is distributed among Pennsylvania community foundations. The earnings are used to benefit the public libraries of Schuylkill and four neighboring counties.

Charles Werner Endowment Fund
The annual earnings from the Charles Werner Endowment Fund will be distributed to organizations which qualify for exemption under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to churches or to public agencies’ programs benefiting and educating children residing in Pine Grove Borough, Pine Grove Township and Washington Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Diversity Fund for Schuylkill County - The earnings are distributed to qualified nonprofit organizations through the annual grant application process. The Schuylkill Area Community Foundation's Grant Committee will select the recipients. This Fund was established with substantial contributions: Wal-Mart Distribution Center #7030 for $5,000; Susquehanna Bank for $2,500; and OMNOVA Solutions Inc. for $1,500.

Dr. Gail D. Mackey, VMD, DABVP Animal Fund - The earnings shall be awarded or distributed to individuals, organizations and/or municipalities to foster the bond between animals and humans so as to improve the quality of life.

Isabelle Ross Mettam Performing Arts Fund - The earnings are used to promote and sponsor any activity associated with what is known as the performing arts, such as music, dance, theater and all the variations thereof. There are no geographic limits to the awards.

The Nature Fund - The earnings shall be awarded or distributed to individuals, organizations and/or municipalities engaged in protecting, preserving and rehabilitating the environment and natural resources, included but not limited to, restoring wildlife and its habitat both on land and in water, eliminating stream pollution and controlling flood damage, minimizing soil erosion and developing and improving recreational and natural areas.
