Butch Kennedy Memorial Fund

Butch KennedyEarl E. "Butch" Kennedy, Jr. was born in Pottstown on February 12, 1955, he was a son of Shirley J. Kelso Kennedy, Tremont, and the late Earl E. Kennedy Sr. In 2008 Kennedy passed away at the age of 53.

He was a civil rights advocate. He worked with the Disabled American Veterans, CAC, OVR, Operation Overcome, Dauphin MH/MR, SWATCO and several other organizations.

He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Tremont, Anthracite Regional Center for Assisted Living, Hazleton, and Schuylkill Transportation System.

Distributions from this fund are made to the Anthracite Region Center for Independent Living - Disability Action Crew for it to provide direct financial assistance on a planned or emergency basis to individuals with an open case with the Organization which will assist those individuals in becoming and/or maintaining their independence.
