Beatrice Wasley Legacy Fund

Established 2013

Beatrice WasleyAnne LaVoie, former resident of Shenandoah, established this fund in honor of her aunt, Beatrice. The earnings will be distributed annually to the Sisters of St. Casimir located in Chicago, IL to be used for personal care needs for the retired Sisters.

The motto of the Sisters of St Casimir is: Always more, always better, always with love. “This motto was also well suited to my Aunt Beatrice Wasley. Through her years of work at Sol Levit’s Jewelry Store, then Chaikowsky Insurance Agency, and later through retirement, Beatrice was known by all to be most gracious, considerate, and generous.

A devoted member of St. George’s Parish in Shenandoah, Beatrice volunteered her time and talents for the church, the Knights of Lithuania, and the Sisters of St. Casimir Auxiliary. She would have been pleased to see a fund established to help the retired Sisters who had dedicated themselves to an Order founded in Pennsylvania to nurture a life of faith for Lithuanian immigrants.

Distributions from this fund are made to the Sisters of St. Casimir located in Chicago, Illinois to be used for personal care needs of the Sisters who are retired.
